  Spain, Morocco reach dealSPAIN (July 20-AP) — Spanish troops began to leave the North African island of Perejil after Spain and Morocco (摩洛哥) reached a U.S.-brokered (美国做中介的) agreement over the disputed (有争议的) outcrop (发生).S. Korea allows N.Korea travel SEOUL (July 19-AP) —A group of 15 South Korean religious (宗教的) and civic (市政的) leaders left for North Korea, and a test passenger flight (试航) was planned between the two nations, despite a recent deadly naval clash (海军冲突). The two moves — though not connected — represented the first moves to resume positive contacts between North and South Korea since the June 29 naval clash, which hiked up (制造) tensions (紧张) on the peninsula (半岛). Civilians killed, injured in airstrikes BAGHDAD (July 19-AP) — U.S.-British bombing raids (袭击) in Iraq killed five people from the same family and injured 17, a military spokesman (军方发言人) said Friday. The unidentified (身份不明的) spokesman said coalition warplanes (战机) bombed “civilian and service installations” in Qadissiya province, 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Baghdad (巴格达) Thursday night. Switzerland formally requests admission to the United Nations UNITED NATIONS (July 17-AP) — Switzerland, which had been neutral (中立) for 200 years, formally (正式地) requested membership in the United Nations. Switzerland’s U.N. observer Jeno Staehelin handed the letter from President Kaspar Villiger to Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who said he was delighted that Swiss voters approved joining the United Nations last March. It will become either the 190th or 191st member of the world body.
