Ape

　　Many scientists believe that men descended* from apes*. Apes are not monkeys, though they are related to each other. Apes are larger, monkeys smaller; apes have no tails, monkeys have; apes are able to stand and walk on two feet, monkeys run and jump on all fours.The word “ape,” when used as a verb, means “imitate,” as an ape is thought to do. “Jack made all of us laugh by aping Charlie’s way of walking.”Nowadays many young people ape their pop idols*. Some even neglect their lessons or work. This is a big problem, isn’t it?
