THE State Council has passed, in principle, draft provisions for the administration of cyber bar services to give more official control of the fledgling business.The draft statute was adopted Wednesday at the 62nd executive meeting of the State Council, presided over by Premier Zhu Rongji.The meeting attributed the excessive number of cyber bars in some areas to the negligence of local authorities. Members agreed this had resulted in the opening of unlicensed bars offering illegal services, lack of order, and poor safety standards.The statute will be issued and enacted by the State Council after some revisions.(Xinhua)
