A SPECIAL exhibition entitled Shenzhen in the Eyes of
Celebrities of the World was opened in Shenzhen Museum
yesterday.
The exhibition, which will end Spetember 4, celebrates the
22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special
Economic Zone.
It is a showcase of 60 autographs left by 60 foreign
celebrities and 120 photos taken while they visited Shenzhen.
All the autographs are on show for the first time.
Among foreign leaders to have visited Shenzhen are some
who are well-known to Chinese people. They include former U.S.
presidents Nixon, Bush and Clinton, former Singapore premier
Lee Kuan Yew and former Hong Kong governor David Wilson.
Over the past 20 years, Shenzhen has developed from a
small border township into a modern city. Shenzhen’s
development has aroused the interest of people around the
world to learn about China.
