‘Another step in missile export control’

THE Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) will work with other government departments to strictly carry out the Regulations on Export Control of Missiles and Missile-related Items and Technologies, a MOFTEC spokeswoman said Sunday.

The spokeswoman Gao Yan said the promulgation of the regulations is an “important measure” of the Chinese Government to strengthen the control over exports.

The MOFTEC is the official department to supervise all exports in China.

Over the past years, China has constantly strengthened its control over exports and its legislative work on export control in accordance with its anti-proliferation policy, its specific export control practice and world norms, Gao said.

The new regulations released Sunday marks another step in China’s export management, she said.

Also Sunday Foreign Ministry Spokesman Kong Quan said the promulgation of the regulations represents another important step taken by the Chinese Government in line with its non-proliferation policy.(SD-Agencies)
