A SHENZHEN-BASED shipping company will buy three luxury liners from France and one from Italy in a bid to become a major cruise company in China.

　　The four luxury liners were built in the 1990s. The three from France each has displacement of 30,000 tons while the one from Italy has 40,000 tons displacement, officials with Zhongda Liners Company said.Along with the “Jia Ri” cruise liner which the company already owns, the new purchases will enable Zhongda to take a bigger market share of China’s cruise market.
