Wu YanYESTERDAY saw the opening of local campus of London
City College (LCC).Teachers and students of the LCC campus,
located at the Fuyuan Education Center (FEC) in western
Shenzhen, attended a ceremony at FEC for the opening of the
school year.Inaugurated in mid-July, the FCC campus has
enrolled 40 local students and brought eight teachers from
Britain.“This has made us optimistic for the future,” said
Miller Miao, president of the school. He said that with more
students there would be more foreign teachers.Miao was sure
that the number of students would top 70 in three months. He
said a Korean agent was helping recruit Korean students from
China and South Korea.Conducting all courses in English, the
school has put students in nine classes on majors such as
business management, information technology, advertising and
public relations and English language.The school offers
exactly the same foundation courses and diplomas as FCC in
London.
