AN elderly man had his eyesight restored after 40-minute surgery in the Bao’an People’s Hospital early this week.“I can see the sky again,” the 92-year-old man was quoted as saying excitedly after doctors removed the bandages from his eyes Wednesday morning.The old man, identified as Liu Linyong, is from a village in Heyuan City. Liu was diagnosed with cataracts 10 years ago and has suffered worsening eyesight since then. He lost his eyesight completely a year ago and went to the Bao’an People’s Hospital to seek treatment a month ago.A 96-year-old woman had her cataracts removed successfully last year at the same hospital, yesterday’s Daily Sunshine reported.
