An ethnic Albanian villager casts her vote in Macedonia's
parliamentary elections yesterday, as her husband stands
behind her in Zajac. The village is the birthplace of the
former Albanian guerrilla chief Ali Ahmeti who now leads the
Democratic Union for Integration party (DUI).
Macedonians went to the polls Sunday for parliamentary
elections, the first since last year's conflict that brought
the country to the brink of a civil war.(SD-Agencies)
