　　Synopsis

　　Calvin inherits* a struggling barber’s shop on the south side of Chicago from his father. But he views the shop as nothing but a burden and a waste of his time.

　　The shop is filled with several interesting barbers that share their stories, jokes and tribulations*. Eddie is an old barber with strong opinions and no customers. Jimmy is a highly educated barber with a superiority complex* who can’t stand Isaac, the new white barber who just wants a shot at cutting hair. Ricky is an ex-con* who is desperately trying to stay straight*. Then there’s Dinka, a fellow barber who is madly in love with Terri, a woman barber in the shop.
