MORE than 10 overseas stock exchanges would attend the
fourth China Hi-Tech Fair which is scheduled to open Oct. 11
in Shenzhen, fair organizers said in yesterday's Shenzhen
Economic Daily.
The bourses, from Singapore, the United States, Japan,
Britain, Hong Kong, Germany, South Korea, Australia, Canada
and other regions, would offer listing consultation services
to Chinese firms, many of which are thirsty for going public
at home or abroad, an important channel of financing.
Many foreign bourses are believed to be interested in
having fast-growing Chinese firms listed there.
The overseas listing service would be one of the biggest
features of this year's fair, according to the organizers.
The event, aimed at playing a match-making role for
overseas stock exchanges and Chinese high-tech firms, is said
to be the biggest-ever on the Chinese mainland.
Many overseas brokerages, investment banks, accounting
firms and listing sponsors have also expressed interest in
attending the event.
