SIXTEEN countries and organizations will send delegations
to the fourth China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen, the biggest
number since the fair was inaugurated in 1999.
This year’s fair is the first after China’s admission to
the WTO.
Countries to be represented include Canada, Russia, the
United Kingdom, Germany, European Union, Italy, the United
States, Australia, France, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Denmark,
India and Israel.
Many transnational companies, like IBM, Intel, NTT, Sanyo
and Sony, will join the exhibition.
Over 200 overseas Chinese students will also bring about
300 high-tech projects to the fair.
More than 10 stock exchanges from Singapore, Toronto,
London, Tokyo and South Korea will come to the fair to help
Chinese enterprises to go public in foreign countries.
Twenty-one celebrities from 10 nations, including two
Nobel Laureates, will deliver addresses at the fair’s forum.
