PEOPLE in North China will have a cool National Day
holiday week.
According to China's Central Meteorological Station, two
cold currents will hit North China _ one over the next two
days and the another from October 4 to 6.
The cold currents, moving west to east, will result in
gales, rain and snow. The temperatures will drop by 8 to 12
Celsius degrees in northern parts of North China and Northeast
China.
Temperatures will fall by 5 or 6 degrees in the central
and southern parts of North China and in most of the Yellow
River and Huaihe River valleys.
While some parts of Northeast China's Heilongjiang
Province can expect drizzle.
People in most of the northern regions will enjoy blue
skies and few changes in temperature and wind force.
Clear or cloudy weather will dominate the middle and
lower reaches of the Yangtze River, while some South China
provinces, as well as southeastern parts of Yunnan and Sichuan
provinces and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, will have rain during
the first three days of the holiday.
However, there will be rain and a drop in temperatures
from October 4 to 7 in eastern parts of Southwest China, the
middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze as well as western and
northern parts of South China.
Meteorologists have reminded travelers to carry wet
weather gear and warm clothes.
