THE preparatory work for China Hi-Tech Fair 2002, which is scheduled to open Saturday, is going smoothly at the China Hi-Tech Fair Exhibition Center in Shenzhen.

　　In Hall A, the venue for the IT products and technologies exhibition, nearly 56 exhibitors including Konka, IBM, Epson, Legend and Siemens have started preparing booths for the fair.

　　In Hall D, the exhibition area for domestic enterprises and institutions, 31 of the total 32 exhibitors have also started preparations. The other half of Hall D is for international delegations where 16 of the 17 foreign delegations were preparing displays.

　　According to the organizing committee, delegations from Canada, the European Union and Belgium had already finished and the others would finish by today.

　　In Hall F2, the area for universities, 24 prestigious universities of the total 27 universities had completed preparations.
