These perfumes have a soft, earthy,
woody scent. The name comes from Chypre perfume introduced by
Coty in 1917. It was inspired by Mediterranean Island of
Cypress and reflects its warm climate and earthy
atmosphere.
Citrus
This family of perfumes reflects its
name and is mainly comprised of citrus scents like lemon,
orange, tangerine and grapefruit. These fragrances are
universally fresh, crisp and exhilarating.
Floral
This is by far the largest fragrance
family. These perfumes usually reflect a combination of two or
more floral scents and are as sweet smelling as a summer
garden.
Fruity
This family has all of the crisp, clean
qualities of our favorite fruits. Apple, apricot, bergamot
neroli, passion fruit, pineapple, peach, or papaya are often
used as a base.
Leather
Leather, a fragrance for men, is
represented by distinctive scents like juniper trees, birch
tar and tree resin. Perfumes composed of this combination of
these ingredients have a rich masculine scent.
Oceanic
These fragrances remind you of mountain
air, ocean breezes or desert winds and are composed entirely
of synthetic materials.
Oriental
This fragrance family is lush, musky and
dramatic. Mainly comprised of the mysterious scents of the Far
East, these perfumes carry heavy scents which give them a
strong, long lasting appeal. (SD-Agencies)
