Noodle King wins lawsuit
FAST-FOOD chain Noodle King has won a lawsuit against a
noodle restaurant which copied almost everything, including
the name of the well-known chain.A Shenzhen court ruled that
Ren Ren Noodle King in Longgang District pay 150,000 yuan
(US$18,160) in compensation to the noodle snack chain for
trademark infringement.Chain executives learned about the Ren
Ren eatery when it received complaints from customers in May
and June saying the food at its “Longgang restaurant” was
inferior to other Noodle King stores.The chain began an
investigation and found Ren Ren Noodle King looked very much
like a Noodle King store in almost every aspect, including the
trademark, logo, floor decoration and staff
