Indian flood
victims walk down a water-covered highway in the village of
Khagariya, 180 kms from Patna, state capital of Bihar
yesterday. Water levels of all rivers in the flood-hit
northeast are falling, but weather officials warned of more
heavy rains in the next 36 hours, raising fears of fresh
flooding in the region.
