CCTV has decided on the chief director for its largest event of the year, the Spring Festival party, after weeks of careful consideration.

　　Jin Yue, former director of the Spring Festival party in 1994, 1995 and 2001, won the title of chief director of the 2003 party.

　　Jin, director of the Entertainment Department of CCTV, has been the winner of the Xingguang Prize, the highest prize for directors of TV entertainment shows in China, for 18 successive years.

　　It is said that his rich experience in directing large entertainment shows, especially in television skits, is what won him the position of chief director. His outstanding performance in the 2001 Spring Festival party also won him a lot of credit.
