THE first and largest MTV contest ever hosted in the city is now accepting registrations.

　　Singers are required to register for the contest from September 10 to 18. After they pass an examination, an interview, and receive some training, they will become reserve singers to take part in performances and the making of MTV.

　　Entitled “Beautiful Shenzhen, beautiful home,” the contest provides young singers and composers with a best chance to exhibit their talents and realize their dreams.

　　All participating works will be broadcast live over Shenzhen TV Station and Shenzhen Broadcasting Station from October to December. Prizes will be discussed and awarded at the end of this year.

　　The contest organizers are now collecting music works. All participating works must be the original ones that have never been published, whatever form they take, bel canto, folk music, pop music or rock and roll.
