Auto expo
AN international motor vehicle exposition will be held
from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province,
East China.
A wide range of motor vehicles and accessories will be
displayed to help auto makers tap market potential. On show
will be about 100 motor vehicles from some 20 domestic and
foreign car makers, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, Audi,
Toyota, Hyundai and Volkswagen.
There will also be an automobile-related photographic
exhibition as well as a display of scale models.
Wine consumption
WINE consumption is increasing significantly in China,
according to information from the China Vintage Industry
Association (CVIA).
Insurance industry
THE China Insurance Regulatory Commission Beijing Office
(CIRCBO) yesterday urged the industry to observe a 30-day
mobilization to provide quality service to customers.
The Quality Service Month is intended to strengthen
credit structure, improve service and deter violation of
regulations in the insurance industry.
Earthquake
AN earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale shook
northern Taiwan yesterday, according to reports from Taipei.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The quake struck at 8.03 a.m., with its epicenter 62.7
kilometers east offshore from the coastal city of Keelung.
