ELECTRONIC money remittances from Shenzhen will be
delivered in two hours starting from Monday with a surcharge
of only five yuan (US$0.6) on each bill.
The municipal post office made the announcement after it
received approval from China Post Tuesday.
Electronic remittances now take 24 hours.
The amount of each electronic remittance is capped at
10,000 yuan.
The post office charges 1 percent as a remittance fee and
an additional charge for the two-hour remittance.
It also reminds senders to notify the receivers to
collect the payment promptly.
Under the two-hour service, the post office is not
obligated to notify the remittees.
The two-hour service will become available next week in
Guangdong, Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Sichuan.
