Business licence
BEIJING: A new edition of business licence for foreign-funded enterprises will be put into use from today, according to State Administration for Industry and Commerce. The new licence, lifting some dispensable items for registration, is to help creating a more easy circumstance for business of foreign-funded enterprises.
Mobile phone fees
GUANGZHOU: Mobile phone fees in Guangdong Province is lowered from today. Basic fee by China Telecom, now 0.4 yuan per minute, is 0.1 yuan lower than it used to be, that of China Unicom is lowered from 0.45 yuan to 0.36 yuan.
New expressway
BEIJING: A 112.7-kilometre-long expressway from Yizhou to Liuzhou in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region opened to traffic on Saturday. The new expressway starts from Yizhou City in the west and ends at Liuzhou City in the east and passes through Liucheng and Liujiang. It also links up with the Guilin-Beihai expressway.
Assassination
JERUSALEM: A Palestinian Fatah leader from the West Bank city of Tulkaram was assassinated on Sunday, according to the Jerusalem Media and Communication Centre (JMCC), a Palestinian media centre in East Jerusalem.
Thabet Thabet, 40, general director of the Control and Inspection Department of the Health Ministry of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), was killed by an Israeli Special Unit near his home in the city.
Policemen killed
CAIRO: Two policemen were killed and a soldier injured late on Saturday by two gunmen. An exchange of fire took place in the village of Shamia, around 390 kilometres south of Cairo, when the two policemen tried to detain the two people who were suspected of carrying guns. The two gunmen fled the scene after shooting dead the two policemen and wounding the soldier along with them.
