Yu Dehai sued

SHENZHEN Municipal People's Procuratorate instituted legal proceedings against Yu Dehai to Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court on Friday for Yu's suspected involvement in taking bribes and a huge amount of unidentified wealth.
The 55-year-old suspect was the former secretary of the Bao'an District Committee of the CPC. He was detained in October, 1999.
During the period from October 10, 1990 to December, 1997, he took illegally from others a total of 650,000 yuan and an apartment worth of 880,000 yuan by taking advantage of his position to help bribe-offers in job transfers and the bidding of engineering projects. In addition, he fails to give a reasonable identification to the huge amount of cash of five million Hong Kong dollars.(SD News)
