Make the best of school life
|
YEARS spent in school are a critical period in one's life, when we prepare for our future and make lifelong friends. Almost one-fourth of our lifetime is spent in school; therefore, we must make the best use of our school days.
Definitely we go to school to be educated and trained professionally. But campus life can provide more than that. A society in miniature, campus is the right place to launch a happy and successful social life. In the colourful extracurricular activities, we learn to cope with people of different characters and make sound judgements of social relationships.
While in school, we should have more contact with teachers, consult with them and enlist their suggestions when coming to problems. Classmates are also a great help to forming a healthy character and proper ways of dealing with social life.
Some of us go to extremities. Either they are too much engaged in studies and become a bookworm or they get fully occupied with off-campus activities and neglect studies. The first kind must be top students in school but not necessarily successful adults later in society, for they may lack the crucial skills in dealing with social relationships. The latter would find it even more difficult to survive in this new era that knowledge and information constitute the premises for success.
Thus we should make the best of campus life and try to strike a balance between learning and extracurricular activities.
