Teachers' composition contest
|
BAO'AN recently held a very special composition contest that challenged 1,573 primary school teachers in the district.
Composition has always been the key issue and difficult point in teaching Chinese. As teachers often lack personal experience in writing in spite of their rich theoretical skills, this contest is expected to provide them with an opportunity to better understand the problems that may have been troubling their students.
Heading inland
MORE than 100 students from Taiwan are planning to visit renowned universities in the inland this winter holiday. Several universities in Taiwan have received group appeals from their students for such tour arrangements.
According to the local press in Taiwan, studying law and accounting in famous inland universities has become both a dream and a trend among the youth. A website, established last April and introducing inland universities, presently has around 230,000 visitors per day, with most of them being Taiwan students interested in studying on the other side of the Taiwan Straits.
