China secure singles titles

LIU GUOZHENG and Zhang Yining both progressed to all-Chinese finals, eliminating the last non-Chinese players from the singles fields at the Pro Tour Grand Finals table tennis tournament in Yokohama, Japan on Saturday.
Liu gunned down Chiang Peng-lung of Chinese Taipei 4-1 in the men's event, setting up a final against compatriot Wang Liqing.
Zhang gained a re-match against world champion Wang Nan by eliminating Tamara Boros of Croatia 3-0 in the women's semifinals. (SD-Agencies)
