Medical description of this disease. This disease is an inherited enzyme (酶) deficiency in which people lack sufficient amounts of the enzyme glucocerebrosidase (葡糖脑苷脂). The deficiency results in the accumulation of a type of fat-laden cells. When these cells accumulate in the bones, the bones become painful and subject to fracture.
