Women's school
OVER 10,000 women in Bao'an villages have enrolled in local women's schools since a "female quality project" was launched in the district last year. Many of them are turning their backs on the endless games of mah-jong in favour of training courses in family education, health care and household management.
In Longhua and Xixiang villages, over 100 housewives attend the women's school every day. Lichee growing courses provided in Guanlan and Gongming, horticulture courses on Xin'an Street and a home leasing procedure course in Shiyan are also proving popular.
New item in NCEE
