Hopkins, Barrymore win Harvard Hasty Pudding Award

IT will be Hannibal ``the Cannibal'' Lecter's turn to be roasted at Harvard University in February.
Actor Anthony Hopkins, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Hannibal in ``The Silence of the Lambs'' was named Man of the Year by Harvard University's irreverent Hasty Pudding Theatricals on Monday.
Hopkins, star of ``Nixon'' and ``The Remains of the Day'', is to be ridiculed and presented with the Pudding Pot on February 15. Hopkins reprised his role as Hannibal in a movie of the same name that is due to be released in the United States in February.
Drew Barrymore was named as ``Woman of the Year''. One of the stars of ``Charlie's Angels,'' and ``The Wedding Singer'', Barrymore will lead a parade before she is roasted and given her own pot on February 8.
The awards are presented annually to performers who have made a lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment. Previous winners have included: Katharine Hepburn and Julia Roberts as well as Paul Newman, Robert DeNiro and Harrison Ford.(SD-Agencies)
