Hot movies on the way
|
IN this first year of the new century, Chinese movie fans can expect better bang for their buck than ever before, with about 20 global blockbusters scheduled for screening in Chinese cinemas.
Besides Accidental Spy, which was released during the Spring Festival holiday, other movies scheduled to appear include Chicken Run, Jurassic Park 3, Pearl Harbour, The Mummy Returns, Rush Hour, Charlie's Angels, Meet the Parents, The 6th Day and Vertical Limit.
Half of the first batch to be introduced were produced in 2000, which however is a shorter turnover than in previous years. According to insiders, the Chinese Film Company will also adopt a new practice of public bidding for advertisements accompanying the movies.(Dawn Li)
