Salon serves up romance

VISITORS to the Shenzhen Daily English Salon will spend a romantic evening listening to love songs and dancing with their beloved partners.
According to organizers, American vocal artist and pianist Bob Bellows, whose nostalgic songs are popular internationally, will serve up English love songs familiar to locals. Mr Bellows has just finished a singing tour of Japan.
In addition to Mr Bellows' performance, the Salon will also offer speeches about St Valentine's Day and Western traditions regarding this special season.
Celebrating St Valentine's Day is becoming very popular in Shenzhen. Yet it is often difficult for locals to truly appreciate this special day. Organizers of the Salon say that speeches and music will help accomplish this goal -- and not just Shenzhen's romantic souls, either, but anyone who wishes to practise their English and widen their knowledge of English-speaking countries.
Bob Bellows is an internationally-renowned pianist, singer and showman. He has performed in Russia, the Caribbean, Europe and the United States.
