Dapeng opens hi-tech park
|
CONSTRUCTION on a special environmentally friendly industrial park for privately-run enterprises engaged in high-tech industries is officially in full swing, now that a 400 million yuan (US$48 million) deal for the park has been signed yesterday to found a 67-hectare production base with an expected annual output value of 800 million yuan.
Designed to cover 140 hectares in Dapeng Township in east SZ's Longgang District, the park consists of a research and development base of 80 hectares and a production base covering 60 hectares.
The R&D centre, located along the Daya Bay, aims at developing the information, new materials and biotech industries while the production base, located to the east of the Wangmu River, has set aside 40 hectares of industrial land for production in those sectors, forming a base to transfer high-tech R&D achievements into products.
The park meets the need of the city's booming high-tech enterprises. Together, the 900 such firms approved by the SZ Municipal Science and Technology Bureau achieved more than 30 billion yuan in annual production value.(SD News)
