Supermodel banned from shop

BRITISH supermodel Naomi Campbell was banned from an exclusive London boutique after shouting at staff for failing to open the door quickly enough, newspapers reported on Wednesday.
The catwalk queen was asked to leave the members-only Voyage clothing shop after telling staff they should have recognized her immediately and opened the door faster, the papers said.
Campbell, 30, had apparently received no response when she rang the doorbell and only gained entry to the shop when another customer turned up.
“We apologized but she kept going on and on and on, and tried to make a problem about it,” Rocky Mazilli, son of the shop's Italian owners, was quoted as saying by the mass circulation Mirror tabloid.
Mazilli told the paper that his sister asked Campbell to leave and then rang the model's agency to say her membership had been withdrawn.
Campbell, who grew up in south London, is almost as famous for her quick temper as for her leggy good looks and catwalk success.
Last year she pleaded guilty to assaulting her former assistant with a mobile telephone.
Campbell is not the first celebrity to run into problems over Voyage's exclusive membership policy.
Madonna and Julia Roberts are two big names reported to have been refused entrance after staff failed to recognize them. Other stars have had their membership revoked for one reason or another. (SD-Agencies)
