Sir---I came to China on a vacation over one year ago and traveled around for about six months, taking in the wonderful sights of historic cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Sampling the various regional cuisine and hospitality of the beautiful Chinese People I decided to settle in Shenzhen for closer look. In this city of only twenty years, made up of people from all areas of China, I enjoyed even more great food, great people, beautiful scenery along with some interesting employment and business opportunities.
I want to say, despite the fabulous restaurants, hotels, very creative beautiful architecture, flowers, palm trees, wide variety of interesting sights and talented people presenting a wonderful array of entertainment for people to enjoy, my short stay in Shenzhen has been made most enjoyable by the people I have met. So, the following is for them.
I would like to thank the peaceful, friendly, hard working, happy people of China for your help in finding my way around this big country of yours. I would like to thank the professional people working in the hospitality industry, for the great service I enjoyed, while taking in the entertainment offered at a number of locations around this grand country and city. I would like to thank you for the many Ni Haos and smiles and welcomes I received as a foreigner in your beautiful, culturally rich, endlessly friendly country.
From old and young, from rich and poor, I gave never encountered such friendliness from people from any country and I am sure I speak for many foreigners who have had the same experience. You should be proud to be Chinese! I am proud to be here! Again, thank you! And I wish you good fortune in your New Year.
