Direct Marketing (III)
Scene: Li Ning (L) of the Sunshine Fitness Centre is trying to sell a membership to Miss Zhang (Z).
L: Hi, my name is Li Ning. I'm from the Sunshine Fitness Centre. We're having our annual membership drive this month. Have you ever visited our centre before?
Z: No, I've never been there.
L: It was built five years ago, so all of the facilities are very new. In fact most of the facilities are upgraded each year.
Z: Do you have a swimming pool?
L: Yes, we have a full-sized swimming pool, as well as squash courts, a full gymnasium with all the latest equipment and a running track.
Z: Really? I didn't realize there was anything there besides a gymnasium and a pool.
L: We've tried to include everything that anyone could want to use to try to get fit. We also have staff on duty to help you find a fitness programme that's right for you.
Z: Does a membership limit you to one section? I mean, do I have to buy a membership for the pool and one for the gymnasium?
L: No, a full membership allows you to use all of the facilities. You can buy a partial membership to use just one facility. Some people only want to come in to swim or only want to use the gymnasium, so they buy partial memberships and just use the one thing they want to use.
Z: That sounds great! Can I get a membership right now, or do I have to go in and sign up?
L: No, I can take your name and number and give you your membership card right now. You could be in the swimming pool tonight if you want!
Z: This is a really good deal.
