COMING from the same school of games as the Monkey Island series and Sam and Max, Stupid Invaders is the latest in a long line of graphic adventure games with its tongue lodged firmly in its cheek. Stupid Invaders doesn't take itself seriously--when you see what the games about, you'll realize why.
With a title like Stupid Invaders, you just know this isn't gonna be Shakespeare. It tells the story of five less than intelligent aliens; Etno - the leader, Bud - the stupid one, Stereo - the smart one, Gorgious - the cook and finally, Candy - the cross dresser. What a bunch. Unfortunately, whilst out on a pleasant cruise, the dumb aliens crashed their ship onto Earth. Even more unfortunate is the fact that they are found by the evil Dr Sakarine who co-incidentally collects aliens for his hobby. It is up to you to guide these idiots to safety.
Stupid Invaders is just great fun. It looks and plays just like a cartoon and the colourful, lairy graphics give it a great fun atmosphere. Special mention must go to Dr Sakarine's henchman, Bolok--he is determined to capture those dummies and bring them in. With over 120 different locations (with over 500 explorable areas) and over 50 characters to interact with, it looks like Stupid Invaders could end up as highly respected as its monkey-orientated peers.
