Mayor visits Taiwan

MAYOR Yu Youjun is now in Taiwan for a ten-day visit at the invitation of the island province's general chamber of industry.
Yu left Shenzhen on Tuesday on a low-profile yet ambitious tour with a 13-person economic and technological observation delegation, the highest level in the city to visit Taiwan.
The delegation will visit Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and other cities to foster a broad range of communications with people from business and high-tech circles.
A report in yesterday's Guangzhou Daily linked the tour to the city's strategy to lure more Taiwan investors this year.
