There are many kinds of beans: soya beans (大豆), broad beans (蚕豆), kidney beans(菜豆), string beans (刀豆), etc. Many people like bean curd (豆腐) and soybean milk. What aobut you?
"To be full of beans (精力充沛)" is "to be full of pep (活力)". As living and working conditions are getting better and better, people live longer and longer. Many people are still full of beans when they are over 60.
"To spill the beans (说漏嘴)" is "to tell a secret, usually unintentionally". You may spill the beans when you are too excited. Often a secret becomes a public one because someone has spilled the beans.
