Recruitment policy changed

SHENZHEN this year will recruit 5,000 workers from all over the country and offer them permanent residence in the city.
Meanwhile, six policy adjustments were recently made to recruit more qualified and talented workers.
Firstly, enterprises with annual paid taxes surpassing 200,000 yuan (US$24,000) can apply to recruit workers. But that has been lowered to 100,000 yuan.
Second, those qualified applicants, whether married or single, will be recruited.
Third, workers from counties or county-level cities can also be offered permanent residence.
Fourth, men and women workers will get the same treatment. The age limits vary according to the technical skill level of workers and the maximum age is 48.
Also, all workers with mid-level technical certificates and who have spent at least two years in the city have the right to apply for permanent residence.
Finally, for spouses who live separately (one works in Shenzhen and the other somewhere else), senior high school education is necessary for the spouse wishing to transfer to Shenzhen. For those who work as managers, college education is the prerequisite.
Special treatment will be given to high-tech firms, public transportation, energy sector, and other infrastructure construction projects.
Moreover, those enterprises which break laws or are on the edge of bankruptcy will not get the right to recruit workers.(Dong Haitao)
