Japan slammed for textbook
|
JAPAN should have the correct conception of the past history, said a Vietnamese spokeswoman.
At the regular press conference in Hanoi yesterday, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Phan Thuy Thanh made the remarks in response to a question on Vietnam's reaction to the outcome of the Japanese Government's screening of the history textbook for middle school for 2002.
This would have great significance in contributing to further developing, friendly and co-operative relation with neighbouring countries and the countries in the region for the peace, stability and development, Thanh added.
Japanese Government has just approved the textbook which beautifies the aggression of the Japanese militarists against Asian neighbouring countries in the Second World War.
