CCTV showcases local talent

WITH a tight red shirt and pants and a pair of black-framed glasses, a five-year-old boy swung his little bottom and flung his arm wildly while singing with a microphone in one hand. Judging by the music and the which words bubbled from his little mouth, the lad was obviously trying hard to imitate pop star Ricky Martin by singing "The Light of Life". His intense performance was received with warm applause.
This was just one scene you might have witnessed on the set of Dream Theatre, a CCTV programme which was shot in Xiaomeisha, a beach resort in east SZ, on Sunday.
Dream Theatre, which enjoys high ratings, produces a series of shows which feature lighthearted imitations of famous stars.
Other performances included a display of Hakka garments by a group of local retired cadres, short comic skits, plus folk songs and dances.
