Fake invoice maker raided
|
A FAKE invoice workshop in Bao'an District was raided on Wednesday.
It is confirmed to be the first illicit invoice workshop to be broken-up since the establishment of the city, according to authorities.
The workshop, in a rented house about 100 square metres in size, was searched by local police who found printers, embossing seals, patterns, computers and other tools concealed there. The house also had finished or half-finished illicit invoice papers along with the tools. The phony invoices included those for Customs declaration, food and beverage and parking, amounting to a total face value of 8.4 million yuan (over US$1 million). The amount is among the biggest face value of fake invoices ever found in a single bust.(John Woo)
