Anti-money-laundering commission
PANAMA: Panamanian President Mireya Moscoso de Gruber on Wednesday announced the establishment of the High Level Anti-Money-Laundering Commission.
The commission is set up to keep banking, financial, professional and commercial activities in the country out of the influence of crimes related to money laundering, said the Panamanian leader.
However, this is not an easy task, said the president, because Panama is one of the leading banking and financial centres in Latin America and the first free zone in the region.(Xinhua)
