Transport braces for May Day holiday

Airlines
TO cope with the busy May Day holiday, SZ Airlines and Southern Airlines' SZ branch have scheduled an extra 280 flights to the most popular tourist destinations and to western China.
Railway
ALMOST 60 more departures have been slotted for the SZ-Guangzhou run during the holiday. Meanwhile, long-distance tickets, especially to Wuchang in Hubei Province, Changsha in Hunan Province, Beijing and Jiujiang in Jiangxi Province are already mostly sold out.
Ships
PASSENGERS wishing to travel by ship will have little trouble finding tickets during the holiday. The lines from Shekou to Zhuhai, Hainan Province and Hong Kong are not expected to be congested.
Long-distance buses
AN ADDITIONAL 100 buses enter service for long-distance journeys between SZ and cities within and outside Guangdong Province.
City traffic
ALL buses, minibuses and taxis have been ordered to keep fares where they are and not raise them during the holiday. Intervals between buses running to tourist attractions within the city will be shortened as well.
