Dongjiang-SZ Water Supply Project

CONSTRUCTION on the last phase of the Dongjiang-SZ Water Supply Project, the Shawan Water-supplying Tunnel, began yesterday.
The whole project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2003. With an investment of 4.9 billion yuan, the project will be capable of bringing 1.1 billion cubic metres of water to Hong Kong, 873 million cubic metres to SZ and 400 million to Dongguan.
