‘Tiger Garden' planned
|
A RUSSIAN tigress named Xiaosu gave birth to five cubs a few days ago at the Shenzhen Safari Park. This has not only brought the tiger population at the park to over 200, but has set a record for the largest tiger litter ever born at the park.
Eight-year-old Xiaosu has given birth to two to three cubs each year in the past few years. As a qualified mother, she is taking good care of her babies, three males and two females, refusing to leave them alone.
The park plans to put these stripped yellow-and-black tigers and another newborn white Indian tiger together, opening a golden and silver tiger garden in time for the May Day holiday.
