Douglas clan eyes movie project

A DOUGLAS family movie is in the works.
``Smoke and Mirrors'', starring Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, is being produced by Michael's older brother Joel along with Kevin Brodie for their Pro Star Filmmakers banner. It is financed by Initial Entertainment Group of ``Traffic'' fame.
Joel is engaged to wed Brodie's sister Joann Savitt. And Brodie's father, Steve, teamed with Kirk Douglas on ``Out of the Past''. Catherine Zeta-Jones' brother, David Jones is also one of the co-producers.
Yes, and they hope Kirk Douglas will play a sultan in the 1850s-set story of French illusionist Robert Houdin. Joel is off to Morocco, Tunisia and Israel to scout locations next week. (SD-Agencies)
