Scaffolding collapse injures 6

SCAFFOLDING collapsed at a construction site in the Futian Free Trade Zone on May 12, leaving six workers injured.
The six were quickly sent to the nearby Caitian Hospital, with four now in the orthopaedic department of the hospital because of fractures while the others still in the surgery department.
Doctors said all of the six injured are from Zhanjiang City of Guangdong Province and they are all expected to survive.
According to Chen Hanwei with the Futian Free Trade Zone, the building under construction is a seven-storey framework and the scaffolding was torn apart from the second storey. Chen also revealed that the collapse was the result of vibrations caused by a nearby piledriver.
