WITH a warmly-received reading of classical and modern poetry, an Art Tour, which ran through April at Shenzhen Senior High School, officially closed.
Lin Jianhong, one of the organizers, said that the Art Tour, the first of its kind to be held in this key school of the city, featured activities such as film shows, poem recitals, a caligraphy exhibition and computer design competition.
He said that these activities were designed to enrich students' lives, give them chances to showcase their talents and "properly guide them in their pursuit of art" .
"Hopefully, students can learn something from all these activities on how to appreciate classic works of literature and music," Lin said. "This may prove to be very useful to them."
The Art Tour also offered opportunities to every student so that they could have a chance to take part in and demonstrate their abilities.
"We feel that most of the participants have done a very good job. Through all these activities, some of them might find something they had never noticed before within themselves," said a teacher.
