Taiwan leader visits SZ

ZHANG GAOLI, secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, urged closer economic co-operation with Taiwanese businesses yesterday at a meeting with a business delegation dubbed the Cross Straits Common Market Foundation.
The delegation, led by Xiao Wanchang, executive vice-chairman of the Kuomintang, came to China to attend the Fourth Beijing-Taiwan Sci-tech Forum in Beijing.
With the purpose of promoting the cross-Straits economic relationship, the delegation arrived at SZ after its visit to Beijing and Shanghai. Next it will head for Dongguan, which has the most Taiwanese investment of any Chinese city.
